2019 Gold American Eagle Type Set MS70 Early Releases w/Kenneth Bressett Signatures

America’s most widely collected and beautiful gold coins available as a complete four-piece set. NGC certified in perfect MS70 condition with labels signed by Kenneth Bressett, one of the most famous numismatic researchers and writers of all time. Very limited availability and Exclusive to Westminster Mint.

American Gold Eagle coins are minted in four different weights and denominations: One-ounce ($50 face value), Half-ounce ($25), quarter-ounce ($10), and one tent-ounce ($5). We showcase the complete four-coins set in perfect Mint State 70 (MS70) condition by NGC.

Coins are graded on a 70-point scale with “70” being absolute perfection. In 1948, Dr. William Sheldon, a renowned numismatist, developed the Sheldon Scale, assigning number grades from "1" through "70" to coins. The basis of Sheldon’s theory was that a "70" would be worth 70 times as much as a "1."

The numerical grades MS60 through MS70, are used to denote business strike coins that never have been in circulation. A Mint State coin can range from one that is poorly struck with many marks and hairlines (MS60), to a flawless, fully struck, lustrous example with superb eye appeal (MS70).

Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) Certified label

A coin collector buys both the coin and the slab. In addition to buying the certification service’s reputation and a numeric grade, the coin buyer purchases the holder as a physical object. NGC special labels enhance and differentiate your coin from others in the same grade, serving a function beyond recording the coin’s authenticity and condition. All four coins in this set have been individually hand signed by Kenneth Bressett. In 1962, Mr.  Bressett was appointed editor of the Official Red Book. He has since become one of the most famous numismatic researchers and writers of all time having published numerous books and articles in his more than 60 years of involvement in the hobby.

Mr. Bressett has received numerous awards and honors in recognition of his significant contributions to the hobby. He was appointed to the US Assay Commission by President Lyndon Johnson and has received the American Numismatic Association’s (ANA) Medal of Merit, its Doctor of Numismatics degree and its Farran Zerbe Award, the organization’s highest honor. In 1996, he was inducted into the ANA Hall of Fame.
